"I think it's really important that we've had our See Now, Shop Now capsule at Afterpay Australian Fashion Week. Gone are the days of waiting for that ultimate outfit to come into the market. You can see the excitement from the show, and wear it the next day." - Pip Edwards.
The Reemergence of Fashion Weeks across the Globe
Following 2020's fashion week hiatus across much of the globe, AAFW was a welcome return to the industry's calendar, with Afterpay London Fashion Week following suit in the coming days, from Saturday June 12 - Monday June 14, and Afterpay New York Fashion Week: The Shows scheduled for September.
“AAFW is a momentous occasion to showcase the unmatched creative talent of the Australian fashion industry to the world. This season’s incredible schedule of designers, fashion events and programming will strengthen AAFW’s position as the leading fashion event in the region and the global destination for resort collections," Natalie Xenita, IMG Fashion Events & Properties, Asia Pacific’s vice president and managing director told viva.co.nz.
