ALLY MAY CAREY AND WILL TRESIDDER
WRITER & CREATIVE
SKIER & DIRECTOR FOR SNOWSPORT
This campaign is about inclusion, unity and community. It is about uniting men and women and all sports by a common thread. How do you feel wearing the new P.E Nation UNISEX range and what does that mean to you?
A: Community and unity should be celebrated. We’re all stronger together.
The new range made me feel strong, kind of like when you wear a suit as a woman; you feel empowered.
You are so accomplished within your field. What is your go to in order to keep motivated?
A: Learning, reading and creating keeps me structured and motivated. I love being creative and working on different projects. I love evolving my concepts and growing my skillset.
During isolation, I have been working on a new project in my spare time called CURARE (www.curare.shop + @curare.curare). I will be launching it soon!
Who inspires you to be the best version of yourself?
A: The most important people in my life, my family, friends and partner Will. They inspire me daily and make me what to be the best version of me. They have all taught me so much and wouldn’t be who I am today without them.
Movement is so important for the body and mind. How do you integrate this into your day to day life?
A: I feel happier and motivated when I stay active. For me, this is walking, skiing and online classes as I am remote at the moment. My mind really needs the release otherwise I can get anxious! I haven’t been as active as I would like lately due to a busy schedule, and I can reallllly notice it!
We have all had to adapt to a new norm. How have you found this transition and how you approach the new way of life?
The “new normal”, has been a very big learning curve. I have assessed so much in a short amount of time. It’s truly allowed me to slow down, look at what is important, do the things I love. I’ve been fortunate to base myself in the country for the most part, so it’s really helped me gain perspective in a lot of areas. I turned 30 the week we all went into isolation, and I feel like its been a great time to get introspective.
