August 10, 2023: Introducing the P.E NATION X ASICS collaboration on global launch day, an immersive pop-up experience was opened to all fans and customers in Sydney, the home of P.E Nation, to win prizes, be the first to view the full collection and meet the Co-Founders of P.E Nation, Pip Edwards and Claire Tregoning.

Located at the Galeries shopping precinct in the heart of Australia's iconic city, the event held at the P.E NATION Sydney flagship store drew a line-up of eager locals, customers and sneaker collectors ready to play for a prize. A head-turning tennis ball wall held 200 prizes for the first 200 to walk through the doors, with major gift cards, fresh apparel, accessories and pairs of the all new P.E NATION X ASICS EX89^TM MT basketball-inspired sneakers up for grabs.

P.E NATION X ASICS: The On + Off Court Collection

Built for the court. Fit for the street.

Reuniting to co-design a court-inspired SportStyle capsule collection, P.E NATION and ASICS' third release is built for the court, fit for the street. The 20-plus piece sportstyle collection includes apparel and footwear, designed for on and off court moments.

Following the success of the first two ASICS x P.E Nation collections, the third collaboration combines Performance and SportStyle with Performance apparel for women and men, as well as a limited supply of the EX89™ MT ASICS SportStyle sneaker. Informed by ASICS SportStyle heritage, and infused with P.E Nation’s retro sport lens, the new collection centres on functional, yet stylish design details, designed to complete the ultimate all day uniform for any sport.

The new 20-plus piece capsule collection unites the iconic SportStyle from both ASICS and P.E Nation, with essential before-and-after layers and outerwear to complete the ultimate urban everyday athlete’s wardrobe. Hero capsule pieces include a skort, cycle short, leggings, zip jacket, and sports bra. Across Menswear, key silhouettes and performance pieces include the Marathon Hoodie, polo shirt, active shorts and spray jacket in black and white variations.

ASICS EX89™ MT x P.E NATION SportStyle sneaker

Completing the apparel collection is the iconic ASICS EX89™ MT sneaker, which P.E Nation has injected with its signature street sport lens, pulling design influences from both classic basketball and tennis motifs.

The ASICS EX89™ MT x P.E NATION SportStyle sneaker is available in two colorways, Black/Glacier Grey; and Pearled Ivory/Burro, and has been updated with textured mesh underlays, double laces, and oversized translucent ASICS stripes. Engineered to move through everyday scenarios in a sport meets street feel, the EX89™ MT sneaker blends the heritage influences of the GEL-EXTREME basketball shoe from 1989 with modern FF BLAST™ technology. The sneaker has a sculpted heel shape to improve underfoot comfort during everyday scenarios, and notable design features include a functional grip feature, as well as the outsole’s pattern which has been created to mirror the view of a city from the sky.
