P.E NATION RUNWAY: AUSTRALIAN FASHION WEEK 2024
P.E Nation took center stage on day two of Australian Fashion Week. Under the sole creative direction of Pip Edwards, the runway show saw 40 models pace a 40m long runway in front of more than 600 invited guests inside Gallery One at Sydney's Carriageworks.

"We're so excited to finally share the step-change we've been focused on, and present the forthcoming P.E Nation collections in a way that felt very true to our roots as a fashion label, first and foremost. Now RE/CREATION is out in the world we can't wait for our community to find its place in their everyday routines when it launches in July," says Edwards.
"The new look is a lot more refined. It's pared back, there's minimal branding, and it's based around a tonal color palette. Detailing is sophisticated, the quality of fabrication and finish is elevated, and the silhouettes are easy, designed to be more versatile within every wardrobe."

THE SHOW
As a nod to P.E Nation’s sport-inspired legacy, guests viewed the runway from a chrome grandstand in a spectator-like arena arrangement, simulating a fashion stadium of sorts. Models walked in choreographed community, transitioning from one space to another to evoke the sense of drive and momentum the collection and brand's fresh iteration inhabits.
The tension between textures – monolithic reflective chrome-like pillars sitting atop soft ivory carpet, the balance in the fast pace and the spatial slow, and the soundtrack transitioning from tough to uplifting, represented the dualistic equilibrium aimed at drawing on connections past, while forging a new path for the future.
Renowned producer Dan Lywood took guests on a sonic journey that echoed this sentiment throughout with the show’s soundtrack, starting with deep and fast-paced beats that mercurially morphed into a euphoric finish. Set against an LED backdrop of light and movement flowing through modern forms, the show closed with a collective energetic wave of gradient hued sets spread across a spectacle of 40 models.
Reinforcing the brand’s new pared back reinvention, the signature runway look for P.E Nation saw ‘undone’ hair styled by KMS and a wet-look eye shadow and lip look created by MAC, emphasising each model’s natural features.
All looks were styled with Salomon footwear.
